How To Create Meaningful Rituals

✨ By nourishing your mind, body, and soul with rituals, you unlock more potential for personal fulfillment, improved relationships, and a more intentional life. Today, I walk you through how I create my rituals, set you up with a ritual planner to experiment, and introduce a new studio newsletter!

Rituals are at the core of everything we do.

✷ They help build habits

✷ They help ease anxiety when triggered

✷ They inspire confidence

✷ They bring presence to our daily lives

✷ They help to keep us grounded in times of chaos

✷ They increase our appreciation for simply being

The more you practice your rituals the better your overall well-being.

As you know, I’m a BIG fan of ritualizing certain tasks and habits as they help keep me present and grounded. They also help me re-adjust my energy, bringing me back to my authentic vibration.

It wasn’t always this way. I used to check my phone immediately when I got up, tapping into everyone else’s energy before centering my mind. I used skip breakfast or a workout more often that I’d like to admit. And I used to have very little boundaries around my time which affected my energy overall, making me overwhelmed and irritable.

When I started my journey into energy management, post career ending panic attack from burnout, the one thing I felt called to do were to build rituals and routines that honored every part of me. Now as you can see, these rituals and routines are the tools that keep me sane.

So how do you create a ritual? You start by choosing activities that nourish your mind, body, and soul. Then you simply set a frequency of when you’d like to do them - daily or a few times a week. There’s no right or wrong when it comes to frequency. Rituals should be the tools that are easily accessible in times of chaos and triggers to promote grounding and presence.

For instance, you can create mind rituals through reading, learning, and engaging in stimulating activities that boost creativity and broadens your perspective.

You can create body wellness rituals through regular exercise, nutritious meals, and adequate rest that strengthens your physical health, increases energy levels, and helps you cherish your body throughout your cycle.

You can nourish your soul by practicing mindfulness, engaging in self-reflection, and connecting with your passions and values that promote emotional well-being, inner peace, and a sense of purpose.

My goal each day is to try to do something for my mind, my body, and my soul. One day may look like journaling, reading, and cooking a nutritious meal. Another day may look like engaging in an online group about cycle syncing, working out, and meditation.

As much as I try to do all three as part of my morning routine, I’m human! I sprinkle an activity throughout the day to honor all three aspects of my being and sometimes, I only manage to do one or two. That’s ok! It takes baby steps to create rituals for yourself. The thing about rituals is that they shouldn’t be a task to-do every day. They should be felt and done with intention. They should be a favorite part of a routine if you choose that kind of frequency. They shouldn’t be something you dread doing.

It also takes a good bit of experimentation to figure out what activities work for you. While working out everyday may for your friend, that may be the case for you two times a week instead. Whereas you may like to journal everyday, but your friend may not like writing at all and would rather opt to meditate.

That’s what is so great about creating rituals- they are your own. Completely custom to you. It’s the space you’re creating for yourself to be present, call back your energy, and ground throughout the day. And when you prioritize these three aspects of yourself, you cultivate a harmonious balance that positively impacts every aspect of your life.

To help you create daily rituals to honor your mind, body, and soul, I’ve created a Daily Ritual Planner sheet to help inspire you with the kinds of activities that honor each aspect of your being and a layout that’ll help remind you to try a ritual every day.
